In Kentucky Letitia Young married William Martin from (south of Esmont and north of Warren near Joe's Creek) south Albemarle County, Va, son of John Martin B.C. (Ballinger Creek) and Jane, and brother of Rev War soldier James Martin of Jessamine County, Ky, Anne Martin Payne of Albemarle County, VA, Mary "Polly" Martin Payne of Barren County, Ky and John "twin" Martin of Monroe County, Ky (book, Times of Long Ago states John as twin but census age dates him as possibly Mary's twin)
Warren County Deed Book 1A p. 7, Sept 10, 1798, William along with brother James Martin, guardian of Patsy Young, legally claimed tract, surveyed by Andrew McFaddin and deeded to them so to start to clear the 500 forested acres on Peters Creek (Snells Creek), witnessed by John Martin, brother. The young family moved to Barren County (changed to Monroe County in 1820) and raised 9 children: Virginia D "Jane", Judith Young, Martha "Patsy" Young, William D, John P, Woodford W, James W, Hudson W, and Annie.
In 1838, Glasgow Presbyterian record states that Letitia left the Baptist Church and joined the Presbyterian Church in Glasgow. She researched and chose which church to baptize and raise her granddaughter, Augusta Thomas Sanders, after her father, Thomas A Saunders, died, as listed in Glasgow Presbyterian Church records and the 1842 will of Dr John Peter Wagnon in Shelby County, Tennessee.
1840 census in Monroe County, Ky under William Martin it showed a house full of young girls after Letitia took in the daughters of Woodford W Martin when his first wife, Lucy Curd, died.
1850 US census recorded Letitia's name, age 76, and birth state of Virginia. Although the census record was recorded in Sept 1850, the Glasgow Presbyterian Church recorded her death as August 17, 1850.
On June 29, 1858 her husband, William Martin Sr, won an injunction against their son, Hudson W Martin, to be able to sell any of his property. In Nov 1860 the children, some of the grandchildren, and any male spouses of Letitia and William Martin were named in heirs research for later deed transfer in Barren County, Ky of 514 acres of land inherited from William Young, to two Mosby grandsons (Oscar F, his wife Rhoda, and Cyrus W) and granddaughter and her husband (Letitia Young Mosby Curd and Havilah Price Curd) of Letitia and William Martin.
