Collice Lowery entered eternal rest on September 18, 2019, at his home in Selma, Alabama. He was born in Selma, Alabama on November 5, 1945.

He attended Selma, Alabama Public Schools and he was a graduate of R. B. Hudson High School, Selma, Alabama in the historic Class of 1965. Collice and a great number of his 1965 classmates marched in the 1965 March on Montgomery with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for civil rights and voting rights. Collice and his classmates were instrumental in the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voters Rights Act of 1965.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Ashley's J. H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home, 1226 Minter Avenue, Selma, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Ward Chapel AME Church, 811 Philpot Avenue, Selma, Alabama with Pastor Dexter Patterson officiating. Interment to follow at Lincoln Cemetery, 500 Oak Street, Selma Alabama 36701 off Medical Center Parkway, Selma, Alabama. Ashley's J. H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home of Selma, Alabama entrusted with arrangements.
