This is the oldest marked grave in the Barrow Cemetery. I know that Andrew died prior to the arrival of my great great grandfather John Stengler. Who according to his letter to the Anahuac Progress in 1910 just prior to his death, states that he "moved onto the Weaver place at the request of Mrs. Weaver, a widow". John's step-son Ludwig Hankamer died in 1849 and was probably buried near Andrew and Julia Weaver. Their daughter married a Barrow and I believe the Barrow Cemetery is located on the original Weaver farm.
When I "inherited" the Barrow Cemetery Memorials, I contacted Kevin Ladd, Director of the Wallisville Heritage Park and we agreed to transfer the Barrow family FAG Memorials to him in the interest of the history of Chambers County. Then I noticed on this Andrew Weaver memorial, the creator had mistakenly put the place of death as Chambers County. Unfortunately, Chambers County was not created at the time of his death and it was still known as Liberty County. Officially the cemetery is physically located and remains in Liberty County as of this date.
