Services for Mrs. Carrie Y. Lane, 74, 9814 Gage, who died Friday night in a local hospital after a long illness, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Cloverdale Chapel. The Rev. Stacy S. Richards, pastor of the Wright Community Church, will officiate. Interment will be at Cloverdale Park.
Mrs. Lane was born in Harvard, Neb., Jan. 23, 1893. She moved to Blackfoot in 1913 and was married to Lafayette McCorkle in 1916. She was married again in November, 1942, to Ira E. Lane, who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1966. She had lived in Boise since 1942. She was a member of Wright Community Church.
Survivors include: sons, Stanley McCorkle, Salt Lake City, and Dr. Howard McCorkle, Lakewood, Calif.; a daughter, Marjorie McCorkle, Glendale, Calif.; a step-son, Melvin N. Lane, Meridian; sisters, Mrs. Christine Urbach, Evanston, Ill., Mrs. Stella Burke, Salmon, Miss Emma Yost, Denver, and Mrs. Ada Hatch, Boise, and 11 grandchildren.
