Anthony was born to the union of the late Lester Harris, Sr. and Alberta Robinson Harris in Lafayette, LA. He attended the schools of St. Mary Parish. He was baptized at an early age at St. John Baptist Church by the late Rev. Aaron Marks.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Anthony Penns; two siblings: James Harris and Brenda Harris; nephew: Kenda Harris; grandparents: Moses Harris, Ida Jackson, Charlie Robinson and Leona Robinson. Butch as he was affectionately called peacefully passed away in Jeanerette, LA.

Butch leaves to cherish many wonderful memories, with three children, Anthony Ayro and his companion, Shanicia, both of Thibodaux, LA, Tony Penns of Jeanerette, LA and Marjorie Penns of Franklin, LA; eight siblings, Cressia Toussaint, Rickey Simpson, and Maxine Harris-Edwards, all of Jeanerette, LA, Bernard Harris and Deborah Harris, both of Four Corners, LA, Theresa Harris-Archangel of New Iberia, LA, Lusty Harris, Sr. of Sorrell, LA and Christopher (Clarissa) Landrio, Sr. of Little Elm, TX, two foster sisters, Dorothy Jones of Baldwin, LA, and Dennistine (Wilton) Landry of Washington, LA; 11 grandchildren; his aunts and uncles, Josephine Robinson of San Francisco, CA, Elnora (Darrell, Sr.) Colbert, Leona Wiley-Jackson and Joseph (Yolanda) Bourgeois, all of Four Corners, LA and Shirley Feast of Jeanerette, LA; and four godchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
