On Tuesday, October 1 st , 2019, Hrand (Harry) Marash, loving and devoted husband and father of four children, passed away peacefully, at the age of 92, surrounded by loving family.

Harry was born on June 19 th , 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Aram (Robert/"Pasha") and Amina (Lucy) Marash. The family moved to New York City when he was young. He graduated from Aviation High School, Manhattan, NY, enlisted and served on an aircraft carrier/battleship in the United States Navy towards the end of WW2.

Upon leaving the Navy, Harry and his father opened a luncheonette at 163 rd St and Southern Boulevard in the Bronx, NY, for twelve years. Eventually, Harry became an aviation mechanic, working on jet engines for Pan American Airlines for thirty years, where he made many good friends.

On January 17 th , 1954, he married the love of his life, Edna Walter. Together, they raised two sons, Randy and Robert, and two daughters, Mary and Linda, residing in their home in the Bronx, NY for sixty two years.

Harry worked hard to provide for his family, often working a second job to bring in extra money. For many years he worked as a security guard at Yankee and Shea Stadiums and Madison Square Garden. He enjoyed spending time with family, golfing, bowling, photography, watching football on Sundays and trips to the casinos in Atlantic City and Connecticut with his wife. He was known for his great sense of humor, his good looks, his thick head of hair, his kind and compassionate spirit ("for crying out loud") and his deep love for his beloved wife.

Harry was preceded in death by his father, Aram, and his mother, Amina. He is survived by his wife Edna, his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Janet, his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and CarolAnn, his daughter, Mary Coletti and his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Nardi, his loving grandchildren Melissa, Michael, Daniel, Donna Marie, Rebecca, Steven, Marissa, Giancarlo and Alberto, cousins Berg Balantzyan and Armina Odabashian, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph Walter and Sandy Bowers-Walter and sister-in-law, Irene Walter.
