Actor. He was best known to television viewers as a character actor who made a specialty out of portraying priests on "the small screen." He earned a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and sold travelers checks for Citibank before deciding to pursue acting as a career. He went on to perform in television, film, and on the theatrical stage. His television debut came in 1984 on the series "The Fall Guy." He would go on to appear in such series as "Knots Landing," "Sisters," "Murder, She Wrote," "Family Matters," "Diagnosis Murder," "USA High," and "NYPD Blue." His first film role came in 1996 in "Jingle All the Way." He went on to appear in such films as "My Bonneville" (2001), "Something's Gotta Give" (2003), and "The Island" (2005). In his later years, he earned a master's degree at Mount St. Mary's and went on to teach a humanities course at the college's weekend school in the department of film and social justice. He passed away after a battle with liver cancer.
