YANTZI, Arthur Arthur Yantzi, 84, of R.R. 2, Tavistock at Sebastopol, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his residence on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. He was born in East Zorra Township, Oxford County on December 21, 1934, a son of the late Jacob R. and Mary (Iutzi) Yantzi. Arthur married the former Edna Zehr in East Zorra Township on May 15, 1964 and together they farmed on the Zehr Homestead until they retired and moved to Sebastopol in March of 1997. He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church. Arthur is survived by his wife Edna; his four children Diane, Gwen, Donald and Marilyn; his brother Nelson Yantzi; his sister Velma Witzel; his sister-in-law Elma Yantzi; "Zehr" brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Melvin and Katie Zehr, Marie Zehr, Lorraine and Melvin Schultz, Irvin Zehr and friend Ruth Craig; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law Oliver and Ada Yantzi, William and Vera Yantzi, Omer and Marie Yantzi, Andrew and Doris Yantzi and Elmer Yantzi; his sisters Lucinda Yantzi and Marie Yantzi; his sister-in-law Ruth Yantzi; his brothers-in-law Maurice Witzel and Daniel Zehr; one niece and one nephew. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th Line on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Howard Bean will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th Line. Reception following.
