Isidore served as a Wiper, S.S. Caribsea, U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II.

He resided in Arroyo, Puerto Rico prior to the war.

The S.S. Caribsea was attacked and sunk approximately 11 miles east of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse, North Carolina by German Submarine U-158. 21 of the crew perished with only 7 survivors.

Isidore was declared "Missing in Action" in this sinking during the war.

He was awarded the Merchant Mariners Medal & the Combat Bar (ribbon), and a Star for his Combat Bar.
