Janice M. Natzke, age 84, of Tigerton passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah, surrounded by her family.

The former Janice Marie Hoffman was born on July 9, 1935 in Shawano to Anton and Lorraine (Pevonka) Hoffman. She was united in marriage to Clarence H. Natzke on August 27, 1955 at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham.

Janice graduated salutatorian from Gresham High School in 1953. She attended business school in Green Bay and had her first job in the office at Consolidated Badger Cooperative in Shawano. After marriage, the couple spent a year in New Mexico while Clarence was serving in the U.S. Army. Together they created Natzke’s Milk Service in Tigerton where she worked as secretary until her retirement in 2000. The business is still run by family members to this day.

Janice was an active member of St. Anthony’s in Tigerton; serving with the Ladies Society PCCW and the Quilting Guild. She was well known for her kind and gentle demeanor and for serving others especially with her quilting. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and traveling. Janice and Clarence were proud to have traveled to all 50 states and several other countries making memories together. She was always devoted to the love of her life, her “honey bun”, for over 64 years of marriage.

Survivors include her loving husband, Clarence; two daughters, Sherry Natzke of Appleton and Kathryn (Bryan) Brown of Oconto Falls; four sons, Steve (Val) Natzke, Bruce (Joyce) Natzke, Chuck (Julie) Natzke, and Tom Natzke, all of Tigerton. There are 16 grandchildren: Melissa (Greg) Hidde, Christopher Natzke, Michelle (Cody) Clauson, John (Crystal) Natzke, Brenda (Andy Gray) Natzke, Tim (Katie) Natzke, Chelsea (Jake) Wiszus, Caitlin (Nick) Donner, Caylee (Austin) Vos, Matthew (friend Vickie) Vraa, Danielle Vraa, Brittany (Stephen) Haas, Adam (Kayla) Vraa, Riley Brown, Ali Brown, and Kaden Brown. There are 16 great grandchildren: Deanna, Dominic, Kyan, Zachary, Claire, Reese, Emilee, Addison, Paige, Ethan, Nolan, Grant, Karver, Sutton, and Kole. There are four sisters, her twin Janette Crow of Hinckley, MN, Rosemary Buchberger of Mosinee, Rachel Mola of Ocala, FL, Cheryl (Charles) Ketchum of Shawano; and two brothers, James Hoffman of Gresham and Rueben Hoffman of Tigerton. She is further survived by two brothers-in-law, Norbert Baranczyk of Green Bay and Larry Natzke of New London; one sister-in-law, Patti Natzke of New London; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Lorraine; five sisters, Frances Kovachick, Lorraine Ascher, Shirley Ebelt, Rita Baumgartner, and Carol Hoffman; and three brothers, Gilbert Hoffman and infants Anton and Roger Hoffman. She is further preceded by two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Baranczyk and Ellen Hoffman; five brothers-in-law, Al Kovachick, Joe Ascher, Lester Ebelt, Robert Crow, and David Buchberger; a great granddaughter, Maverick Vraa; two nephews, Mike Ascher and Alan Kovachick; a great niece, Jenna Baranczyk; and two great nephews, David Martens Jr. and Jared Gehm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at 2:00 PM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Tigerton. Rev. Matthew Settle will officiate and burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton, and on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of service at the church.

The family would prefer folks to give a memorial donation to the charity of their own choice in Janice’s memory.
