Anastasia Spock is my Great Grand mother on my maternal side.I only know what my Mom tol me about her, She was her father's mother, and she lived with them in Larksville, I will assume that it was because her husband had died, Mom doesn't remember her grandfather, just her 'Bobba'.(Ukrainian for grandmother.)
She tells the story when 'Bobba' died she came down to breakfast and told Pop Bobba wouldn't wake up for church and she was very cold so she coverd her, my grandfather immediately went upstairs and then out to get the undertaker. As was the norm then Bobba was laid out in the 'Palor'. When it was time to leave for the night they couldn't find Catherine, every one looked all over, and there she was sleeoing with her 'Bobba' in the casket. This is only one of the stories Mom has told me.
I am not sure of how many children she had only that my Grandpop had a twin, but it makes no difference I love her just the same.
