Bernadette Eielson, age 66, of Florida, wife of Connecticut retired Judge Rodney S. Eielson, died after a lengthy illness. Bernadette was born in Hungary on May 8, 1936 and escaped from Hungary in 1956 by riding a motorcycle to Austria. She was, for many years, the owner of the Palotay Real Estate Brokerage firm and subsequently became a partner in the Pir-Palotay Real Estate firm, both of which were located in Norwalk, Connecticut. Since her retirement, was was a resident of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach. Bernadette was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church and Delray Dunes Country Club. During her life, she was a member of many charitable organizations.

Bernadette was survived by her husband, Rodney S. Eielson of Boynton Beach, two daughters, Lori Brayton of Norwalk, CT and Bernadette Fitzgerald of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Amy Brayton of Norwalk, CT and Kieran Fitzgerald of San Diego, CA. Private family committal services will be held at sea.
