Pansy E. Bailey, 77, of Charleston, formerly of Matoaka, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 at her home. Born Dec. 30, 1926 in Lamar, she was the daughter of the late King and Cozetta Tilley. Mrs. Bailey was of the protestant faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Bailey; four brothers, Claudy Tilley, Lacy Tilley, Albert Tilley and Elmer Tilley; and three sisters, Mary Sigmon, Lomie Grose and Lora Catron.
Survivors include two nieces, whom she raised as daughters, Patsy Pitts and Shirley Tilley; two brothers, James Tilley and his wife Mary of Pisgah Road, Princeton, and Ray Tilley and his wife Judy of Princeton; four sisters, Lily Thomas of Matoaka, Daisy Crist and her husband Joe of Princeton, Fay Rose and her husband Wilson of Green Valley, and Violet Price and her husband John of Princeton; and scores of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood/Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
