He retired from United Wholesale Florist in Little Rock. He was an Army veteran and a member of the National Guard. Bill was a deacon at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Ward. He loved playing music, Elvis, westerns, and spending time with family and friends, playing jokes on people, and anything to do with Christmas.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Fleming; children, Tony Fleming (Kati), Sheila Fleming, Michelle Thompson (Keith), Josh Fleming (Nikki), Jennifer Burns (Bryan), Brandon Ellis (Vivi), and Dewayne Ellis (Amanda); twenty-four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers James Fleming (Betty) and Paul “Wesley” Fleming (Angela).
Bill was preceded in death by his stepmother Margaret Fleming.
Memorials may be made to Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Bill’s name to help defray funeral expenses.
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Ward, with burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
