Abigail was married first to Sumner C. Palmer on December 6, 1844 in Sharon. He was the son of John Palmer and Betsey Nichols and born in Norridgewock, Maine. They had two known children:

Ernest S. Palmer born August 6, 1853 in Foxboro. He married on August 6, 1898 in Boston to Maud H. Gambell, daughter of Henry Gambell and Anna Meeker.

Sumner C. Palmer, Jr. born after the death of his father sometime in 1854. He is listed as the informant on her death certificate and he says he resides in Brooklyn, New York.

After the death of her husband, Abigail became the second wife of Edward Tisdale on December 6, 1870 in West Bridgewater. He was born in Sharon, Massachusetts and was the son of Col. Israel Tisdale and Betsy Talbot. Edward had several children by his first wife, Amanda Ripley, but it does not appear Abigail and Edward had any. I cannot find a gravesite for Edward but feel he may be buried in the Tisdale Burying Ground where his parents and other relatives are laid to rest.
