William “Ricky” Newth, 66, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019. He was born December 25, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Ernest and Juanita Newth.

He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School where he was a quarterback for the 1971 State Championship Team. Ricky was a graduate of Westark Community College and the University of the Ozarks. He coached girls softball at Clarksville Middle School. Ricky retired from the Little Rock School District after 25 years working in Security. He was a great athlete who loved golf. His home church was Friendly Chapel of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his siblings, Kenneth Newth (Laura), Lisa Pruser (David) and Charlie Newth; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Newth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little Rock School District.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 116 South Pine Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114.
