Isaac K. LaRue was born August 3, 1833 in Steuben County, New York, and died in this city, Monday April 1, 1907.
He was married to Miss Lametta Allen, May 15, 1855, in Port Buron, Illinois, who survives him. Seven children were born to this union, of whom but two are living, Walter J. LaRue, of Wichita, Kansas , and E. Dwight LaRue, of Glendive, Montana. Two sister, Mrs. Abbie Temple, of Los Angeles, Cal. and Mrs. Susan Young, of Chanute, Kansas, also survive him.
He came to El Dorado from Nevada, Iowa in 1883, and has been engaged in the livery business ever since.
Funeral services were conducted at the family home, Wednesday, April 3, at 2:30 p.m., after which the remains were laid to rest in the West cemetery.
