Angelina “Angie” Failla, age 89, a Madera native passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at her Fresno home with her family. Angelina was born to Carmelo Failla and Frances Faso Failla, Italian immigrants who had settled in Madera and farmed. Angelina attended Madera Schools graduating from Madera High School. She worked for a time in a Fig Packing House in Fresno. Angelina along with her late sister Lillian moved to Fresno where she has lived for the last 2 years. In Madera, she attended St. Joachim Catholic Church and was a member of the Italian-American Club of Madera.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all of her siblings; brothers, Vincent, Charles, Joseph, Frances and Phillip, and sisters, Minnie Hollander, Mary Ellen Alderson, Lillian Failla and Josephine Spinelli.

Surviving Angelina are numerous nieces and nephews including Tony Failla her caregiver for the last several years.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Jay Chapel from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera followed by the Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
