Ronnie Chapman 1963 - 2019 Obituary

Ronnie Chapman, 56, of Windsor, Connecticut, entered eternity on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Hartford Hospital. Husband of Robin (Ryans) Chapman of Windsor for 22 years, Ronnie was born in Buena Vista, Georgia, on April 13, 1963 to the late William Brandon and Josephine Chapman of Hartford. Ronnie was a resident of Connecticut for more than 50 years and attended Hartford and West Hartford Public Schools. Ronnie had worked in the field of security and asset loss prevention for more than 20 years. At the time of his death, he was a full-time employee and supervisor of both Secure America at The Hartford Insurance Company in Hartford and JC Penney in Manchester, Connecticut. Ronnie was a staff security sergeant who trained numerous employees. He was well known for his relentless professionalism, meticulous attention to detail and impeccable uniforms. Ronnie was a soft-spoken family man who loved to cook and had a passion for barbecue. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid football fan. Ronnie is survived by two sons, Tyron Chapman of Hartford and Brandon Chapman of Texas; two daughters, Janai Willis of East Hartford, CT and Amber R. Chapman of Windsor, CT; two step-children, Jason B. Ryans of Manchester and Cherelle Cottingham of Manchester; five brothers, Bruce Oliver, Junior Torres, Moses Torres, Willie Torres and Sam Robinson; 9 grandchildren; Ma'kyla Willis, Ayden Willis, Carter Bonner, Julian Ryans, Devonte Ryans, Jaiden Ryans, Dallas Ryans, Taurean Cauley and Logan McCray, and by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. In addition to his father, Ronnie is predeceased by sisters, Delphine Chapman and Monica Chapman, and brother, Prather Aldridge. A visitation will take place Friday, November 22, 2019 from 9:00AM–11:00AM at The Church of Jesus Knows Best, 700 Blue Hills Avenue, Hartford, CT, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00AM.
