Mrs. Temperance Wernecke, wife of Mr. J.C. Wernecke, of Harrietsville, Noble county, died on the 18th inst., in the 63rd year of her age. She was a daughter of the late Butler Wells, a well known citizen of Monroe county. Mrs. Wernecke died of cancer. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. A.D. McCormick, of this city, in the presence of a large and sympathizing assemblage. Mrs. Wernecke was very highly respected by all who knew her - Marietta Times
