In Loving Memory of Harold Dailey by Nancy W. Vickers
When Harold was just a little boy, he could run really fast. Kids nicknamed him “Rabbit”, who knew that name would last? You couldn't have a better friend, honest as he could be. He was always helping others; that was his legacy.
The family lived for the Redskins, and loved it whenever they won. Rabbit seemed especially proud attending games with his sons. He took an oath to serve and protect, and that became his creed. It seemed he was always smiling helping those in need. When Rabbit turned his badge in, many years ago, he never really left at all (a “cop at heart”, you know). David, just like his Father, became a Policeman too. He road motorcycles and was proud to be wearing the blue.
Dan became a hair stylist, working hard just like his Dad. He thought of him as his hero, and the best friend he ever had. Larry, Scott and Donna he raised with his beautiful wife. He was a kind and gentle man who lived a long, wonderful life.
Becky waited a long time to see her Dad again. Now they are together, and she'll take good care of him. Contributor: Raymond Roberts (48001852)
