Professional Football Player. For six seasons (1974 to 1979), he played at the tight end position in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears. Born Gregory Edwin Latta, he made his initial impact on the football field during his years at South Side High School in New Jersey. He played collegiate football at Morgan State University where he became one of the school's all time greats. Selected by the Baltimore Colts during the 8th round of the 1974 NFL Draft, he played professionally with the Florida Blazers of the World Football League (1974) and achieved All-WFL honors for that season. In 1977, he produced career-highs with 26 receptions for 335 yards and 4 touchdowns. In 73 career regular season games, he compiled 90 receptions for 1,081 yards and 7 touchdowns.
