Charlotte Faulkner (nee Neale) was born in 1852 in Caversham Oxfordshire, the daughter of George Neal and his wife Ann (nee Wyatt). Her father was a labourer. She was baptised at Caversham on the 7th of October 1852.

She married Albert Henry Faulkner in 1886. In September 1886 their only son Albert Henry Faulkner was born in Marlow in Buckinghamshire. In 1891 they were living in Caversham where her husband was ‘out of employment’.

In 1901 their son was living with their grandparents in Marlow. It is not known what happened to her husband but Charlotte was living at the Reading at this time. She was a servant in the house of Harriet Goddard in Kendrick Road. She was a widow.

In 1910 her son married Frances Pizzey and in 1911 they were living in Caversham where he worked as a florist. It is not known where Charlotte was living.

In 1920 her son moved to a house in Gordon Road in Camberley. For a few years before her death Charlotte lived there with them.

Charlotte died in the Infirmary (the old workhouse) in Farnham in April 1932. She was buried at Frimley on the 24th of April 1932. (Her son and his wife are buried in Section XVII Grave A6
