Broadway Playwright. He specialized in autobiographical one-person plays starring the legendary, award-winning Julie Harris; notably The belle of Amherst (now a classic), Brontë, and Lucifer's child. He also wrote Hellman, Zelda, and Barrymore. He began as a songwriter and singer for the Roger Wagner Chorale and the Ray Charles Singers. Comic actor and director Charles Nelson Reilly drew Luce into writing his first one-woman play, about Emily Dickinson.
