Lawrence had been a longtime resident of Port Jervis.
He served in the United States Army. He worked for many years at Great American and then at Kolmar Laboratories. He also worked as a maintenance super in Rockland County.
He is survived by his loving son Lawrence Havens Jr., who is also a longtime resident of Port Jervis; his best friend and companion of 15 years, Magdalena Folch, who cared for him in his final years; his grandson Joseph; and his best friend Ruben.
There will be no visitation.
Cremation was held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, Pa.
Burial of ashes will be in Larry’s family plot in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush.
Funeral arrangements are by the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Port Jervis.
