He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Alvin J “Joey” Gilbert of Odessa, TX, Earl A Guidry of New Iberia, LA, and Jonathan Guidry of Eunice, LA; three daughters, Genee’ Joseph (Kenery, Jr.) and Beatrice Broussard of New Iberia, LA, and Tina Levy of Abbeville, LA; one brother Oscar J.. Gilbert, Sr. (Emma Mae) of New Iberia, LA; one sister Eldora Lewis of Houston, TX; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
