Wendy (Chiauhia) was our "little girl". Even though she wasnt with us for very long, she will forever be in our heart and thoughts. She was a fiesty little girl and that's partialy why she is no longer with us. We brought Wendy and her brother "Pepe" back with us on a trip from Mexico they got along with their other "sibilings" Snoopy, Woody, Elantra and Daisy" all cats. But Wendy was jealous, if she was near my husband or I, the cats couldnt come near us. Wendy loved to sleep with us, mostly with my husband, she'd snuggle up and sleep in a little ball. But one morning one of the cats walked across the bed, the dogs got excited/scared and Wendy fell off the bed. Turns out she had "dislocated her wrist" but once casted up we were told in a few weeks she would be as good as new. We went to the local vet and becasue Wendy was so small and had to be put asleep to have the cast put on he decided that the X-ray of her leg looked fine and didnt want to subject her to being put to sleep for another cast....Turns out that because of him not changing the cast she had developed gang green. It was terrible, her leg was so bad that they had to amputate it. Wendy was so strong she made it through the surgery and recovery with flying colors(7-2006). Even though she was given little hope of recovery from the infection....Then in Nov. 2006 Wendy started having convulsions. We feel it was from a previous fall, again her going after one of the cats. When we took her to the vet, the Dr. told us we could take her to a different hospital but because of the amount of seizures she was having and for the lenght of time each one was she would most likely never be the same "Wendy" as we knew her before. We miss her so much but the laughs she gave us we will never forget...
