When my grandfather, Capt. Dan, was in his early 80's he decided to paint his house. He fell off the ladder and broke his back. Jessie showed up and announced she was going to take care of him. This arrangement did not last long. Jessie took to good care of Capt. Dan. Capt. Dan was used to being alone and doing for himself. Jessie wanted to organize his life and feed him good food. Grumpy old men who feel put upon do not make life easy for those who want to do not just good but the very best.
