Erma Jean Allshouse, 79, Duncannon, formerly of Northport, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Avonmore on December 12, 1940. She was a daughter of the late William R. and Erma M. (Black) Allshouse.
Erma was a registered nurse for the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for 10 years before moving to Florida and working for 26 years at the Venice Hospital. A very loving, caring person who always gave herself to help others, she was a caregiver her entire career and even after she retired. Erma was a member of the Venice Bible Church, where she taught Sunday School for 17 years and attended Compass Point Church in Dillsburg.
She is survived by her siblings, James Allshouse, Carlisle; Dwight (Kathleen) Allshouse, Mechanicsburg; Katherine (Joseph) Rabickow, Apollo, PA and Timothy (Susan) Allshouse, Freeport, PA. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Erma was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry A. Allshouse and Daniel C. Allshouse.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 3pm Thursday January 23, 2020 at the Compass Point Church, 15 E. Church Street Dillsburg PA 17019.
Friends will be received from 2pm until time of service.
A Celebration of Life will also be held at 1pm Friday January 24, 2020 at Christ Community Fellowship 160 Singleton Road Sarver, PA 16055.
Interment will be held privately at Riverview Cemetery, Apollo, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Compass Point Church.
