Harry A. Allshouse, 57, of Vandergrift died Thursday (July 12, 2001) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.
Born June 14, 1944, in Kiski Township, he lived in the Kiski Valley all of his life.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the Navy.
He was a caseworker for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, New Kensington office. He also had been a school bus driver the past 10 years and worked for Export Fuel Co.
Mr. Allshouse was a member of North Apollo Church of God, and was a past member of the Vandergrift Fire Department No. 1 and the Disabled American Veterans of Vandergrift.
Survivors include his wife Pamela Jewart Allshouse; two sons, William Kelso Allshouse of Parks and Noah Allshouse of Vandergrift; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Tina) Brown of Kiski Township; five grandchildren; four step grandchildren; his mother, Erma Rosenberger of Vandergrift; three brothers, James Allshouse of Vanderbilt, Timothy Allshouse of Freeport and Dwight Allshouse of Mechanicsburg; and two sisters, Erma Jean Allshouse of Florida and Mrs. Joseph (Kathy) Rabickow of Kiski Township.
Preceding him in death were his father, William R. Allshouse and a brother, Daniel Allshouse.
Friends were received Saturday night and will be received again today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME, a Golden Rule member, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Shallenberger. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Leechburg where the Joint Veterans Foreign Wars will provide military honors.
