Josephine Arena Infanto, 90, of Syracuse , passed away Saturday in James Square Health and Rehabilitation Center, with her loving family at her side. Josephine was employed by the KMC Diner for many years. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a special cook, she was predeceased by her husband, Philip, in 1983 and her son-in- law, Robert Merola.
Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Felice Merola and Camille (Bill) Jones, all of Syracuse ; grandchildren, Robert (Julie) Merola, Elizabeth (James) Bernardone, Lauren Merola (Bob Narduzzo), Ryan Pearlman (Jeni Balitz) and Adrienne Jones; great-grandchildren, Robert III and Matthew Merola and Nicholas and David Bernardone; two sisters, Carmella Dumas and Theresa (Sam) Piraino; a sister-in-law, Josephine Morrow; and a devoted nephew, Ronald Arena.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:15 a.m. in Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and at noon in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse
