Ex-resident of Tarentum dies in Ohio
Mrs. Annie E. Bloom Hallman, 85, of 217 Linwood St., Dayton, Ohio, died at 12:15 a.m. this morning (July 3, 1963) in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Rose Weaver, in Dayton.
Mrs. Hallman had been ill of the past four months, suffering infirmities of age.
She was born Sept 23, 1877, to Daniel and Amy Bloom in Oakridge, Clearfield County.
Mrs. Hallman was preceded in death by her husband, Winfield Hallman, in 1937.
Several years ago, she moved to Allegheny Valley. She lived with a son, John, in Natrona Heights. Later, she resided in Tarentum where she was quite active in the Tarentum Wesleyan Methodist Church.
For the past three years, she lived with Mrs. Weaver in Dayton.
Mrs. Hallman was interested in quilt making and spent much time making rugs.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Weaver, Dayton, Ohio; three sons, John A. Bloom, Sarver; Paul Hallman, Baltimore, Md., and Jess Hallman of Altoona; 22 grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Julie Troxel, Ohio; Mary Cochran, Ansonville, and Rose Howe, Crowall; and five brothers; Leo Bloom, New York; Atley Bloom, Ansonville; Alex Bloom, Cronwall; Grover Bloom of California and Josh Bloom of Donora.
Friends will be received in the Carl J. Cicholski Funeral Home, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, after 7 this evening. Service Friday at 2 p.m. will be held by the Rev. O.C. Metzger, pastor of Natrona Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Sun Mine.
