Actress. She was a prolific character actress who will best be remembered for her recurring roles on five daytime soap operas during her career; as Myrna Clegg on CBS' 'Capitol,' as Pamela Conrad on NBC's 'Santa Barbara,' as Vivian Alamain on NBC's 'Days of Our Lives,' as Vanessa Bennett on ABC's 'All My Children' and as Alexandra Spaulding on CBS' 'The Guiding Light.' Born Marjorie Mahoney, she was raised in Russell, Kansas, and attended Kansas University. She began a modeling career in New York before segueing into acting, where she made her big-screen debut in 1967 in the Elvis Presley movie 'Clambake,' and went on to appear in a few more films, most notably as Mrs. MacArthur in 1977's 'MacArthur,' opposite Gregory Peck. The majority of her acting career, however, was spent on television in dozens of shows, such as 'Get Smart,' 'Star Trek,' 'The Wild, Wild West,' 'Bonanza,' 'Hawaii Five-O,' 'Hogan's Heroes,' ''The Mod Squad,' 'Love, American Style,' 'The F.B.I.,' 'Mannix,' 'The Bionic Woman,' 'Quincy, M.E.' and 'The Facts of Life.' She became a member of The Session, an improvisational comedy troupe formed by Rob Reiner. In 1984, she founded the Marj Dusay Celebrity Golf Tournament in Russell, Kansas, which was designated as a fundraiser for the Kansas Child Abuse Prevention Centers and for establishing a statewide hotline. Dusay, who married twice and had a son and a daughter, died of natural causes.
