Per his death certificate, A. Knapp died on 10 Dec 1920 at the Cairo Rooming House in the city of Stockton, San Joaquin County, CA. An inquest was held by Oscar C. Pope, the county coroner. After hearing sworn testimony, Mr. Pope determined that the cause of death was "Ifection [infection] of Intestional [Intestinal] tract, Probably acute entretes [enteritis]." Mr. Knapp was thereafter buried in the Stockton Rural Cemetery on 14 Dec 1920, with the funeral home of Pope and Smith of Stockton taking care of the burial arrangements.
