"Eternal rest to her is given, and peaceful joys with God in Heaven" are words that fittingly express the passing away of Abbie Carroll. For two long months she was ill of typhoid fever; all that medical skill and loving care could do was done to prolong her life, but the All-Wise Providence, "Who doeth all things well," wanted this beautiful flower for His own, and Tuesday night the weary little soul took its flight to Heaven. Her death was touchingly sad. In the bright and cheery summertime, she and her younger sister, with their mother, came to the Southland to visit the grandmother and other relatives so that she could learn to know and love the friends in her mother's girlhood home. The visit was full of pleasure and on the very eve of departure she was stricken with fever. Throughout the long illness the patient little sufferer clung to life with a tenacity that was pathetic. Wednesday afternoon, followed by a large concourse of friends and relatives, the silent form was borne to rest in the city cemetery and the sacred mound covered with a wealth of beautiful flowers. The services were conducted by Reverend T.J. Warlick, assisted by Reverend A.L. Johnston. Truest sympathy is felt for the grief-stricken family in their bereavement.

Card of Thanks.

We desire to express to our friends the sincere appreciation we feel for the loving interest taken during the long recent illness of our darling Abbie. This is a bright ray in the great sadness that has come into our lives by the loss of our precious little daughter.
