Dorothy Beatty Jones, 90, of Mt. Lebanon, Pa., formerly of East Liverpool, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Asbury Heights, Mt. Lebanon.
Born May 12, 1917, in East Liverpool, a daughter of the late C. Vilas and Cora Beatty, she lived most of her life in the Pittsburgh area.
A member of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon, she was a graduate of the East Liverpool High School class of 1935, a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She later attended Carnegie Tech.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Jones.
She is survived by three sons, Tom Jones and his wife Lisa of San Francisco, Calif., David Jones and his wife Marita of San Anselmo, Calif., and Steve Jones and his wife Linda of Pittsburgh, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard "Dick" Beatty, Robert Beatty and David "Pete" Beatty.
There are five grandchildren, Kevin, Matt, Nick, Jackie and Rachel Jones.
Burial is to be held in Riverview Cemetery. A memorial services will be held at a later date. The Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
