Mrs. Robert W. Hough died at Pleasanton, Kansas, last week, at the ripe age of ninety-three. She will be remembered by old settlers as a resident of this township some fifteen years. She and her husband ran the hotel in the village of West Union, a mile east of the present site of Traer, Iowa. Five children are yet living. One of these, Mary Ellen, married Freeman Kile, here, and now lives at Pleasanton, Kansas, another married Henry Stoakes, here, and lives in Missouri. Grandmother Hough was a loveable old lady.
