In 1923, he married Thelma Jane Highbaugh.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert L.; one daughter, Miss Ida Eileen Fillbright, all of Springfield; two brothers, Ernest and Earl, of Petersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Velda Stevens and Mrs. Louise Crisp, both of Springfield; and Mrs. Della Garvin, of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Vancil funeral home.
Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Petersburg.
