She married Alfons, Freiherr von Pawel-Rammingen (1843–1932), a former equerry to her father, on March 19, 1880 at Saint George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. She and her husband resided in an apartment at Hampton Court Palace and spent part of each year at Biarritz, in southwestern France. Princess Frederica was buried in the Royal Vault in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle ("Court Circular", The Times, 19 November 1926: 17).
