"Mrs. A. L. Long - Mary Elizabeth Long, 79, died this morning about 6 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Coonrod, with whom she had made her home for the past 7 1/2 years. She had been ill for several years. She was born Aug. 5, 1869 to Christian and Elizabeth Buddenhagen, near Kansas City. They moved to Parsons vicinity in 1874, where she was married to Anson L. Long Feb 6, 1894 (sic). She was a member of the Washington Avenue Methodist church at Parsons, and Royal Neighbor lodge. She is survived by her husband, of Chanute; three daughters, Mrs. J. C. Cooper, of Parsons, Mrs. Coonrod, Chanute, and Mrs. G. E. Miksch, Alhambra, Calif.; two sons, Charles W. Long, Los Angeles, and Fred L. Long, Fredonia; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. D. W. Harris, parsons, and two brothers, Ed Buddenhagen, Parsons, and Charles Buddenhagen, Pittsburg (Kansas)."
