GARDNER, Maude M. - Of Mt. Morris, age 87, died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 1PM, Monday August 6, 2007 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor John Bridges officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Hemophilia/AIDS Foundation thru Hurley Medical Center. Visitation 5-8PM Saturday, 1-4PM and 6-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be held 7PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Maude was born in Flint, Michigan on December 11, 1919, the daughter of the late Ralph and Verlie (Eckler) Allen. On November 8, 1941 she married Lyle Gardner in Flint and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2002. She was a member of Mt. Morris #474 O.E.S. and the Sweet Adelines. Surviving are her, son, Karl and wife Rhonda of Millington; 3 daughters, Carol and husband Robert Fisher of Hubbard Lake, Darlene and husband Jeff Lane of Fenton, Elaine and husband Jim Landon, Jr. of Grand Blanc; adopted Daughter, Ruthanne and husband John Finn of Bath; 8 grandchildren, Shayne and husband John Goetz, Robert and wife Jenny Fisher; Jay and wife Michele Landon, Thomas and wife Regina Landon, Jason and wife Erin Jupe; Michael Lane, Stefani and husband Brian Stewart, Hayden Gardner; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Phillip Shaker, Bill and wife Marge Gardner, Mel and wife Doris Gardner and Jim Smith; sisters-in-law, Vera Allen, Muriel and husband Ed Lorenz and Evelyn Lawrence; many special nieces and nephews.
