"DOROTHY EDWARDS"

"William Edwards, I" was also known as "The Pilgrim".

He was born on 4-19-1590 @ Edwards Hall @ Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.

Unfortunately, he died on 3-22-1622 @ The Good Friday Massacre @ Jamestown VA. 347 pilgrims were killed by the Powhatan Indians of the Chesapeake area that day.
___________
HIS FATHER:
"Rev. Richard Blewett Edwards, II"
b: 11-22-1566 @ North Petherton, Somerset, Eng.
d: 4-19-1635 @ Edwards Hall @ Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.

HIS MOTHER:
"Ellenor Thomas"
b: 1570 @ Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales
d: 8-31-1628 @ Edwards Hall, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.

HIS PARENTS' CHILDREN:
~ Joshua (became Baron of Cardiff)
~ William, I" (The Pilgrim)
~ Margery
~ John
~ Jane
~ Richard III.
_______________
"WILLIAM EDWARDS, I" married a lady named "DOROTHY (maiden name unknown)". This Memorial is for her.

They had possibly 2 CHILDREN before their early deaths (1618 Dorothy & 1622 The Pilgrim).
~ "William Edwards, II" b: 1615
& ? Possibly a Daughter.

It is assumed that relatives cared-for the Orphans of William, I, The Pilgrim. William II was 3 when his mother Dorothy died & 7 when his father The Pilgrim died @ Jamestown. His paternal grandma, Ellenor Edwards, lived until 1628 with paternal grandpa, Richard Edwards, II, lived until 1635. So, this is a theory. And, The Pilgrim had siblings: Joshua, Margery, John, Jane, & Richard III.

Dorothy's son, William Edwards, II, did go to VA & raised his 3 sons in Surry Co., VA.
