J.C. Griner, Former
Resident Here, Dies
C.A. Wert received word Monday of the death of his brother-in-law, J.C. Griner of Portland, Ore., who died at the homer of his youngest daughter, Mrs. Oliver McDowell in Red Wood City, Cal., March 14, death resulting from heart trouble Six years ago he was seriously injured by a falling tree in the Oregon forests and was crippled.
Mr Griner was known to his many friends in Villisca and vicinity as "Jim," having worked for many years for the late H M. Hopkins and the late F.P. Tyler. Burial was in Beaverton, Ore., his former home before moving to Portland. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters and several grandchildren.
