From "Early Days in Eastern Saratoga County" by Grace Vanderwerker 1928 p.71:
"Peter Fake's son John R Fake married Sarah Ann Lewis, daughter of Reed Lewis, who lived across the road on the south. John R Fake was landlord of the Bacon Hill Tavern which stood across the road from the Fake home on the west. On the Fake lot in the southwest corner stood a store conducted by Reed Lewis and at the Reed Lewis home, Mrs. Lewis had a millinery shop.
