Folk Singer. Dubbed Britain's "First Lady of Folk," the American-born artist moved to the UK in 1964 and landed a recording contract with Decca Records that same year, releasing her first album the self-titled 'Julie Felix.' In 1966, she became the resident singer on BBC's 'The Frost Report,' and would go on to host her own show for the BBC, 'Once More With Felix' from 1968 to 1970. Over a span of 6 decades, she would release nearly two dozen albums, among them 'Flowers' (1967), 'Going to the Zoo' (1969), 'Lightning' (1974), 'Colours in the Rain' (1982), 'Amazing Grace' (1987), 'Branches in the Mist' (1993}, 'Fire – My Spirit' (1998), 'Starry Eyed and Laughing: Songs by Bob Dylan' (2002), 'Highway of Diamonds' (2008) and 'Rock Me Goddess' (2018). Felix, who championed various causes throughout her life and visited the Middle East as a humanitarian ambassador for Christian Aid, campaigned on behalf of Latin American refugees and founded the Guitars Against Landmines fundraising campaign, died after a brief illness.
