Harry W. "Bud" Binion, age 77, of Newark, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

He was born on June 20, 1939 in Pickaway, OH, the son of Theodore and Anna (Ferguson) Binion. Harry was united in marriage on April 23, 1982 to Mollie Pike Martin and they spent the next 34 happy years of their lives together. He was employed for many years by Caterpillar Inc. on Route 6, in Joliet, Illinois as a mechanist. Bud was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mollie Binion of Newark, IL; his sons, Harry Binion Jr. of Tennessee and Richard (Becky) Binion of Norway, IL; his daughter, Pamela (James) Crisman of Norway, IL; three step-sons, Harold O. (Lorre Hacholski) Martin III of Oswego, IL, Dean (Susan) Martin of Texas, and Kevin (Lerma) Martin of Aurora, IL; his sisters, Ruth Glenn of Ohio, Nancy Jacobson of Johnstown, CO, Lillian Goodlet of Bradley, IL, and Evelyn (Clinton) Ryder of Morris, IL; his brothers, Roger (Barbara) Binion of Colorado Springs, CO, Ralph (Donna) Binion of Mazon, IL, and Ronald "Pat" (Nancy Grundstad) Binion of Yorkville, IL; his sister-in-law, Sue Binion of Ashland, OH; several grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Anna Binion; his daughter, Kimberly; his grandson, Thomas; his sister, Mildred Baxter; his brother, Roy Binion; and his brothers-in-law, George Glenn, Byron Jacobson, and Morse Goodlet.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
