The friend appointed to assist the women friends in preparing a Testification against --- Mary Beeson now Pope, it being produced and approved and Signed and appoints John Talton to read it at the close of a first day meeting at Deep River. and return the paper with his care to next meeting.

There is some secondary evidence that her husband may have been Charles Pope and they moved to Laurence County, Alabama where he applied for a Rev. War Pension and was refused because his service period was not sufficient to qualify. If this was her husband her only proven descendant would be a 14 year old Elizabeth Williams who who mention as living with them in Charles pension application. Compiled by Brenda Massie Tolle
