Capt. William, son of Lt. Joseph and Rachel (Allen) Adams, b. in Menotomy, Jan. 12, 1725; m. June 14, 1750, Sarah Hill; she d. 11 Nov. 1805, age 74 years.

He was an Ensign of the precinct train band in 1771, and was a Captain in the Revolution, in Col. Thatcher's Regiment, marched to Dorchester heights on Washington's orders; was a selectman in West Cambridge, Mass., 1779; d. 10 Sept. 1787, age 63.
