Aileene Norman, 84 of Sikeston went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 15.
She was born to the Tyrus Henry and Julia Weakley Walters on August 12, 1935. Mrs. Norman worked in the Sikeston High School cafeteria for 25 years and was a member of Illinois Avenue Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her love of Jesus and love for her entire family.
On July 15, 1954 she married the late George Alfred Norman who preceded her in death on August 15, 2011.
Surviving are her three sons, Andy (Carmel) Norman of Sikeston, Randy (Julie) Norman of Searcy AR, and Gerald (David) Norman of Fairview Heights Il, two granddaughters, Paige Norman of Searcy AR and Brooke Russom (Brent) of Sikeston; two great granddaughters Maddie Norman and Harper Russom; and one brother, Richard Walters of East Prairie.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six brothers, Billy Walter, Donnie Walters, Andy Walters, Joe Walters, James Walters, and Kenneth Walters; and seven sisters, Nadine Stallings, Bernita Stegall, Mary Helen Dixon, Mildred Mainord, Evelyn Hyslip, Maxine Talley, and Ann Bailey.
Private Family Visitation will be held in the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston on Friday, April 17, 2020 with Graveside Services at 11:00 AM at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie. Tony Burrows of Sikeston and Gerald Norman, her son, will officiate. Paige Norman, granddaughter, will offer the eulogy,
Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Andy Norman, Randy Norman, Gerald Norman, Danny Danner, Brent Russom, and Richard Walters.
