NORFOLK--Albert Benjamin Craft, Sr., 79, of 938 Newell Ave., a retired carpenter and an Army and Marine Corps veteran of World War I died Wednesday morning in a hospital.
A native of Greenville, N.C., he lived here 37 years.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include four daughters, Janie O. and Mrs. Ernestine C. H. of Norfolk, Mrs. Edna E. H. of Virginia Beach, and Mrs. Mildred L. W. of Urbanna; two sons, Albert B. Craft, Jr. of Norfolk and M. Craft of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Craft Bunting of Oak City, N.C. and Mrs. Callie Craft Morgan of Tarboro, N.C.; a brother, Wiley G. Craft of Oak City, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Fred W. Carroll. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
The family will be at the funeral home, Norfolk Chapel, tonight from 7 to 9. They are at 938 Newell Ave.
